Asset Purpose

Create an asset for the real-world site or structure being inspected. The asset is the long-lived record. Missions are created under that asset for each capture, inspection, revisit, or operational event.

Create The Asset

  1. 1Open Assets from the primary navigation.
  2. 2Choose the action to create a new asset.
  3. 3Enter the asset code or name used by your organization.
  4. 4Add site name, location, classification, and any available portfolio metadata.
  5. 5Save the asset and confirm it appears in the asset list.

Asset Data Quality

  • Use stable asset codes so future missions attach to the same site history.
  • Prefer official site names over temporary project names.
  • Keep location fields consistent with the map and portfolio reporting needs.
  • Avoid creating duplicate assets for separate missions on the same physical site.

Create The Mission

  1. 1Open the asset detail page.
  2. 2Create a new mission.
  3. 3Set mission date, reason, priority, pilot, planned timing, and access-permit context where available.
  4. 4Use mission notes to describe capture scope, access constraints, or inspection objectives.
  5. 5Save the mission, then open the mission overview to upload workflow evidence.

Mission Readiness

The mission overview tracks workflow readiness. Inspection, documentation, panorama, orthophoto, and point cloud work can mature at different speeds. A mission can be useful before every workflow is ready, but reports should be based on evidence that has passed the relevant review and quality checks.
